Metamorphosis Monday -- Kitchen Phone Niche

I have been looking and looking and looking for a small bulletin board for the phone area in my kitchen. I was visiting my Mom in OH this past week and she had to go to Walmart for a few things so I tagged along. While Mom was looking at birthday cards, I wondered over to the office supply area and I'll be darned I found the perfect sized bulletin board.

I know it's just a little thing but you do not know how happy I am about my new bulletin board! I can finally put important notes and numbers in plain sight! No more stumbling through my computer phone book. What a relief!

Also stopped at a local garage sale and found a really cute stool for the phone area, cost $2. I love the bear scene carved into the stool back! And now all I have to do is make a little cushion for the stool and this area will be finished.

You can't have too much oak in any one room, right?

For some fun I edited my photo in Photobucket a la fresco per Susan's directions.

Go to Photobucket. Upload a photo. Click on the word "edit" which is just above your uploaded photo. Select the "effects" and then click "more" located to the far right. Then click "Fresco". Looks just like a watercolor to me! Love it!

That's a cute bench and I love the photobucket photo. It does look like a water color. I wonder if you printed it like that and framed it what it would look like?

Visiting from Rhodas. Please feel free to stop by and say hi!

Ah...the bear is adorable. Are there any markings on it? Just curious as it is definitely worth your $2 splurge.

Stan, I never checked for any marking until you asked and I'll be darned the stool is marked on the bottom:

3-100-175 C

Then theres an embossed trademark:
